Boston for Brain Cancer
Boston for Brain Cancer
Story
On January 1 Peter McLay lost his brave battle with brain cancer. A devoted husband, father, brother, a member of the NSW Police Force for 35 years, a former Australian Under 19 cricketer. On April 17, I’m going to run the Boston Marathon in his honour to try and raise $56,000 for the Mark Hughes Foundation. Peter (affectionately known as Skylab) was 56 when he lost his brave battle. Let’s see if we can reach our target and find a cure!
Mark Hughes Foundation
The Mark Hughes Foundation (MHF) is a charity formed in Newcastle by Mark and Kirralee Hughes following Mark’s diagnosis with Brain Cancer in 2013. The Mark Hughes Foundation’s mission is to raise much needed funds for research, to create awareness and support brain cancer patients and their families.
